Clara Rojas Vázquez is a single mother of 4 children; Ana María of 13, Luisa of 11, Daniel of 5 and the youngest José of only 7 months.

Clara separated from her husband a couple of years ago and since then she has not received any support from him. She had to move-in with her brothers, who a few months ago took away her support leading her to find another place to live. It was then that she was lent a house to live in at the center of Tecuanipa, which fell down during the earthquake. Clara and her children had to build a cardboard house with what she could find to live in the same land that had been lent, but she does not have water, electricity, nor a bathroom.

Every time it rains the water enters and their few belongings get wet as well as themselves; the younger children gets sick constantly from the exposure to the cold and the rain. Since 2 years ago her oldest daughter decided to leave school to help her mother. When Clara has money to invest in products, she buys amaranth cakes and chocolate to sell in Tochimilco or Atlixco and it is Ana María who takes care of her brothers; or her comadres whom she also supports by taking care of their children whenever she can.

Her daughter Luisa recently returned to live with her dad, although she goes to Clara’s house every day to drop off her little brother Daniel afterschool; she is in 5th grade of primary school and Daniel is in 3rd of kindergarten.

Clara’s family will be one of the families who will be supported by Los Angeles in Mexico, relocating them on a land and building them their own house, we feel blessed to be able to help this beautiful family. They’re happy that finally they will have a home, with a roof to keep them protected and warm during the low temperatures very common in the area.

Clara Rojas Vázquez es madre soltera de 4 hijos, Ana María de 13, Luisa de 11, Daniel de 5 y el pequeño José de solo 7 meses.

Clara se separó de su marido hace un par de años y desde entonces no recibe ningún apoyo de él, así que se fue a vivir a casa de sus hermanos, quienes hace unos meses le quitaron el apoyo y tuvo que conseguir otro lugar donde vivir, y fue así como le prestaron una casa en el centro de Tecuanipa, la cual se cayó durante el terremoto. Clara tuvo que levantar una casita de cartón con lo que pudo para poder vivir en ese mismo terreno que le prestan con sus hijos, sin embargo no tiene agua, luz, ni baño.

Cada que llueve entra el agua y se mojan sus pocas pertenencias y ellos mismos, los niños más pequeños se enferman constantemente al estar expuestos al frío y la lluvia, su hija mayor desde hace 2 años decidió dejar la escuela para ayudar a su mamá quien cuando tiene dinero para invertir en productos compra alegrías y chocolate para irlo a vender a Tochimilco o a Atlixco y es Ana María quien se encarga de sus hermanos entonces; o bien alguna de sus comadres a las cuales ella también apoya cuidándole a sus hijos cuando puede.

Su hija Luisa hace poco se regresó a vivir con su papá, aunque pasa por casa de Clara todos los días a dejar a su hermanito Daniel saliendo de la escuela, ella va en 5 de primaria y Daniel en 3ro de kínder.

La familia de Clara será una de las que apoyará Los Ángeles en México reubicándolas en un terreno y construyéndoles su propia casa, nos sentimos bendecidos de poder ayudar a esta hermosa familia. Ellos se encuentran felices de por fin contar con un hogar, con un techo para mantenerse protegidos y calientitos durante las bajas temperaturas tan comunes en la zona.
