Let’s not wait until the holidays to do our good deeds, let’s start today and help provide for all their urgent needs until they can have a place to call home again.  Let’s strap on our boots, roll up our sleeves and be the driving force for the change we wish to see. Remember we can’t raise funds if we all don’t do our part.

We created this campaign because we have seen the urgency and with your financial contribution, we can fund their urgent needs. Together we can make a difference.

How will the funds be used?

Through ONE Children’s Foundation we will support the children needs they have, Just to name a few of the stuff the donations will go towards:

Building materials for shelters:

• Dry wall
• Windows
• Mattresses
• Floors
• Ceilings etc.

School Supplies:

• School uniforms
• Pencils
• Notebooks
• Arts and crafts
• Backpacks etc.

Hygiene Products:

• Shampoo
• Soap
• Deodorant
• Lotions
• Toothbrushes
• Toothpaste etc.

In some cases, they can’t even pay their utilities or buy food to feed the families staying at the shelters, we need your help to avoid this from happening. We will continue to aid the list of needs as the campaign raises the funds.

We need to raise funds to purchase the following items:
• School supplies: Backpacks, Folders, Notebook, Pens, Rulers, Paper, etc.
• Blank Canvases and painting supplies.
• Children uniforms
• Lunch (Pizzas & juices)

Our activities:
• We’ll bring Costco’s Pizzas to have lunch with all the children and families at the shelter.
• We will do color paintings with the children of Misión Evangélica Roca de Salvación.
• We are bringing books to help them start a little library and will have a story teller to read to them.

Things are starting to pick up as more local businesses join the fray to help us fundraise through our jewelry program. A quick reminder, by the way: if you can, please visit the businesses listed on our Facebook Page. The more business they receive, the more they will be inclined to continue supporting us. Moreover, other businesses might be persuaded to join if they see other businesses benefiting from our little advertisements…

ONE is pounding the pavement now more than ever. Some of you may already have seen us walking around Ventura Blvd. trying to get more businesses to support us. If you would like to be a part of the team, make sure to visit or call the office. Our jewelry program allows you 25% commission on everything you fundraise! Also, please spread the word to as many people as possible about the nonprofit in general as well as the jewelry program we have going.

As we inch closer to this Independence Day weekend of barbecues, fireworks, and visiting family and friends, let us remember that there are those who are less fortunate. Please remember to keep the ONE mission in mind and be grateful for what you have. Be safe and enjoy your holiday weekend!
