The second home we built in San Miguel Tecuanipa is for the Rojas family. The Rojas household is headed by Víctor Rojas Dávila and his wife Carolina Rojas Adorno, they married at the age of 18 and now are both 44 years old. Victor and Carolina have five children; Gabriel of 26 years, Marisol of 24, Mónica of 22, Beto of 18 and Víctor of 13.

Gabriel is the only son that is married, his wife is Adriana and they have two children; Ana Gabriela of 8 years old and Miguel Ángel of 2.

Victor and his two sons, Gabriel and Beto, work in the field, cultivating amaranth and corn; this is their primary source of income. They wake up every morning at 6am, have breakfast, then head out on their hour walk to the place in which their crops are cultivating, returning home around 6pm when the sun begins to set. During the season of planting and harvesting Carolina and her daughters join in on the labor for the field helping with the amount of work that accumulates. Primarily, the women help separate the plant that gives fruit from the Jugüite, and the weed that serves no purpose.

During the the other season of the year, Carolina dedicates herself to the tasks at home, while her daughters Marisol and Mónica go work in a private home in Atlixco, meanwhile the youngest, Victor, attends secondary school and her granddaughter, Ana Gabriela attends elementary school. Adriana cares for her son, Miguel Ángel, who enjoys riding his tricycle in the yard. In addition, both Carolina and her daughter-in-law board napkin clothes and sell them to aid with the expenses of the home.

Carolina was diagnosed with cervical cancer 8 years ago, later to have her cervix removed. Victor suffers from diabetes, but has it controlled with a proper diet. This family lost part of their property with the earthquake of September. The remaining parts of their property had walls with irreversible damage.

Los Ángeles en México built the Rojas family a home from the two bedroom model, for the proper accommodation of the 4 siblings that remain single. The other two bedrooms, where the walls were severely damaged got repaired, and it is in these rooms where Víctor and Carolina and in the other Gabriel, the eldest son with his family sleep.

La segunda casa que construimos en San Miguel Tecuanipa es la de la familia Rojas, integrada por Víctor Rojas Dávila y Carolina Rojas Adorno; ambos tienen 44 años, se casaron a los 18, tienen 5 hijos, Gabriel de 26 años, Marisol de 24, Mónica 22, Beto 18 y Víctor de 13.

Gabriel es el único de sus hijos que está casado, su esposa se llama Adriana y tienen dos hijos Ana Gabriela de 8 y Miguel Ángel de 2.

Víctor y sus dos hijos Gabriel y Beto trabajan en el campo con el cultivo del amaranto y el maíz, de donde viene el principal ingreso de la familia, se levantan todos los días a las 6 de la mañana para poder desayunar antes de ir al campo ya que caminan una hora para llegar hasta el paraje donde tienen sus cultivos y vuelven a sus casas a las 6 de la tarde cuando empieza a oscurecer. En época de siembra y cosecha Carolina y sus hijas se suman a las labores del campo para ayudar con el trabajo que se acumula, ellas ayudan a separar la planta que si da fruto del Jugüite, la hierba tierna que no sirve.

En otras épocas del año Carolina se dedica a las labores del hogar mientras que sus hijas Marisol y Mónica van a trabajar a Atlixco a alguna casa particular, mientras el pequeño Víctor va a la secundaria, y la nieta Ana Gabriela en la primaria. Adriana cuida de su hijo Miguel Ángel que le encanta jugar con su triciclo por el patio de la casa. Además Carolina y su nuera Adriana bordan servilletas y las venden para ayudarse un poco con los gastos.

A Carolina le detectaron cáncer en la matriz hace 8 años, motivo por el cual se la tuvieron que quitar, y Víctor sufre diabetes controlada pues se cuida en su alimentación. Esta familia perdió parte de su propiedad con el terremoto de septiembre y la parte que siguió en pie estaba inservible al tener los muros dañados.

Los Ángeles en México les construyó una casa del modelo de dos recámaras para que se acomoden los 4 hermanos que siguen solteros, las otras dos recámaras cuyos muros quedaron parcialmente de pie las repararon y es ahí donde duermen Víctor y Carolina y en otra Gabriel, el hijo mayor con su familia.
