Angélica Hernández Ortega and Víctor Hugo Martínez Flores have a daughter named Anahi who is 1 year 4 months old. Víctor works in the amaranth fields and Angelica makes “doraditas” and chocolates to sell in order to bring some extra money to her family.

This little family has lived in borrowed houses because Victor’s family did not want to support them in their home. The day of the earthquake they were in the house of Angelica’s grandmother and the house collapsed. Her grandmother hurt her arm and her grandfather hurt his head. The family returned to the house where they lived and they realized that the house had been completely damaged and only one room was barely standing and the roof was about to fall down.

Civil Protection helped them taking out their few belongings and moved them to Angelica’s parents’ house. Those days were very difficult, they did not eat a day and a half and Angelica was pregnant; the paramedics checked her constantly because she was feeling sick, for days they did not shower because there was a shortage of water. Finally they got a tent and they moved there. They continue living in it since they do not own a land where they can build a house.

A short time ago they got the sad news that Anahí has ​​a cyst in her chest and needs ultrasounds and medications; however, Angelica and Victor have faith that everything will be fine, they are very excited because they will soon have a home for the first time where little Anahí will grow up and now they’ll be able to concentrate on meeting the medical needs of their daughter.

Esta pequeña familia ha vivido en casas prestadas por qué la familia de Víctor no los quiso apoyar en su casa. El día del sismo se encontraban en casa de la abuelita de Angélica y la casa se derrumbó. La abuelita se lastimó el brazo y el abuelito resultó herido de la cabeza. La familia regresó a la casa donde vivían y se dieron cuenta que la casa se había dañado demasiado y solo un cuarto había quedado un poco en pie y el techo estaba a punto de caerse.

Personas de protección Civil los ayudaron a sacar sus pocas pertenencias y las pasaron a la casa de los papás de Angélica. Fueron días muy tristes y difíciles ya que día y medio no comieron y Angélica estaba embarazada; los paramédicos la revisaban constantemente por qué se sentía mal, por días no se bañaban porque hubo escasez de agua. Así estuvieron viviendo hasta que les apoyaron con una carpa. Continúan viviendo en ella ya que no cuentan con un terreno donde puedan construir una casa.

Hace poco tiempo les dieron la triste noticia de que Anahí tiene un quiste en el pecho y necesita ultrasonidos y medicamentos; sin embargo, Angélica y Víctor tienen fe en qué todo estará bien, están muy ilusionados por que pronto tendrán por primera vez un hogar donde la pequeña Anahí crezca, lo cual es un enorme apoyo ya que podrán concentrarse atender las necesidades médicas de su hija.
