Salvador MenchacaOutreach Program Coordinator
I completed my law degree studies in the Autonomous University of Baja California. Since then, I’ve been focused on learning about the defense and promotion of human rights, as well as human mobility and migration. I had a particular interest in these matters due to the problems faced by those people in the world who, for political reasons, violence, or force majure situations, have to live in unfavorable conditions and therefore find themselves in need of leaving their country of origin to move to one that they consider safer.
I have collaborated in humanitarian aid programs with other NGOs, always giving my best effort to assist those who are in vulnerable situations. By working directly with the migrant population, I realized the challenges faced by individuals or families who have decided to leave their country and how difficult it has been for most of them to receive help or have opportunities to improve their quality of life, mainly when they travel with minors. This experience has given me a new perspective on how we can provide the most help possible to those who need it most and make a difference to improve their lives, which is why I’m enthusiastic to be part of the ONE Children’s foundation team and contribute in their mission to transform children’s lives.
